Basketball Banquet

Here is a message I received that was sent out by the Booster Club about the Basketball Banquet.

The banquet committee has decided to have a meal at the banquet provided by JCHS Food Service. Booster Club Rep had met with Food Service and presented our original idea to have Food Service provide fried chicken and then the parents bring dishes. Food Service was not too crazy about this idea--frying chicken is the hardest part of the food preparation. Food Service is willing to provide chicken but would prefer to do a complete meal. The banquet committee then polled some of the varsity kids and the kids would like to have a meal.

The banquet will thus be a meal, approximate cost $9 + per person for two meat entrees, salad, vegetables, cinnamon rolls, a a variety of desserts. We would propose to charge $12.50 per person or $25 a couple with obviously all players and coaches to eat free. The $25 per couple will not recoup all costs but will provide us with enough funds that the Booster Club can make up the difference. FYI, this is how the football, baseball, soccer, etc banquets are done and the ticket prices are the same.

The banquet committee is going to send postcard invitations to all parents with the banquet date, time, location, ticket price, and who to call to purchase tickets information. Thus, there will be no need to call parents about the banquet or to ask parents to prepare anything.
