Pics from Game 2

Warmin up

Vikings

Getting ready

Watching the flip

Can anyone tell me what call he is making?

We are set to receive

Go Jays! Okay now everyone do a herkie

Game on

Not sure if defenses are getting better, but it seems as though fumbles have become more common for all of the Jay teams

Viking player: Do you need a little help making it out of bounds?

At least it's not asphalt

Going long

So, is getting smacked up side the head considered interference?

Evidently not

What is it?

I am not sure, what do you think it is?

Dude, it looks kinda like a football, but here comes the ref, lets ask him

Takin them down

Hmm, do they have him covered?

I would say so

Trying for the block

Looking on

Ref to Viking Player: Hey kid, I know you probably don't want to hear it right now, but they made a great hit on you.

Coach - Sorry kid, but it was a great hit

Headed down field

Using the blockers

Oops

Extra...

...Point

The field looks good

The Vikings. Didn't I see them on some commercial? What's in your wallet?

Score Update

Viking Cheerleaders

Headed for a 1st down

The crowd

Timeout

Get them out of the way

Working the ball down the field

A quick break

We could use them in the stands

Oh well, you could still hear them in the stands a bit

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming

Makin some yardage

Four seconds left in the half.

Looking on

The Jaybirds tried for a field goal with the four seconds, but missed. As I have mentioned before I am not well versed on football strategies, etc., but I am not sure why on the series just before this when the Vikings had the ball and went for it on 4th down, why we accepted the penalty making it like 4th and 12, rather than decline the penalty and take over the ball.

Headed to the locker room

The crowd stretches a bit during halftime

And some don't

Which way is the game?

Good thing she helped me out

Everyone is getting ready for the second half

1, 2, 3, 4...

Some are ready for some action on the field

and ready for some gossip off the field

2nd half

A picturesque evening for some football

Another touchdown

Yeah!

But unable to capitalize on the conversion

A good night for our Freshmen Jays

The final

Low on battery and low on memory left an unsuspecting photographer with only a couple of pics for the "B" game.

Still did not fully understand the "B" game, with no clock, no refs, etc.. Was it considered a scrimmage, an official game??

Many hung around to watch under the Thursday Night Lights.
