Come One, Come All to the Jays Scrimmage and Ice Cream Social

It might be hard to tell from the temperature, but football season is fast upon us. If you haven't stopped by any of the practices, you can get your first look of the Football Jays this Friday Night (8/17/07) as they hold their annual Red and White Scrimmage and Ice Cream Social.

The scrimmage is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.

Cake and Ice Cream are to be served from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

One can also purchase Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and Soda at the event.

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Junior players are each asked to bring a cake to Adkins Stadium the morning of the scrimmage between 7:30am and 8:15am or anytime after 3:00pm. Booster Club members will be present to collect the cakes. (Translation = Mom/Dad I need a cake for the Ice Cream Social - Moms/Dads, please note the times mentioned above as those are not always included in the cake request you get from your player.)

As it looks to be another scorcher Friday, you might want to bring your misters, umbrellas, water bottles and anything else you might have to stay cool.

Freshmen will be treated to Cake and Ice Cream, while the upper classmen (Sophomores thru Seniors) will be treated to Hot Dogs and Hamburgers in addition to Cake and Ice Cream.
