Friday night jamboree at Rockbridge starts at 7, Baloon show may cause parking problems so get there early.
The Columbia Balloon Corporation will host a balloon invitational from Thursday, Aug. 23, through Sunday, Aug. 26, at Corporate Lake. The lake is located on South Providence in Columbia. All proceeds will support Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network.
The event will kick off with a media flight, hosting families of ill children or children who have suffered trauma. In addition, 30 top-rated pilots from throughout the United States will be in attendance as the event is a pre-qualifier for the Balloon Federation of America’s 2008 National Hot Air Balloon Championships.
