Rockhurst appeared on Television in their first road game of the season against Hutchinson, KS. Hutchinson trampled Rockhurst 55-27 in that game.

The Jays will try to flip last year's outcome against Rockhurst. Actually they'll try to do it twice this season as they play Rockhurst 2 times in 3 weeks.

Rockhurst beat Blue Springs 17-3 in their 3rd game of the season. This bumped the Hawklets from #7 to #1 in the MaxPreps poll, while the Jays remained at #2.

It will be interesting to see where Rockhurst falls in MaxPreps poll this week after losing Friday night at home to the Mustangs of Mullen, Colorado, putting the Hawklets record at 2-2 on the season.

This Friday the Jays, now at #89 in Rivals 100, will host Rockhurst.

HighSchoolSports.net has Rockhurst ranked #1 and predicting they will win Friday's contest by a score of 31-22.

Hutchinson dominates Rockhurst

Excerpts:

After a closely contested first quarter, Hutchinson demolished Rockhurst on the way to the 28-point win that wasn't even as close as the final score indicates. The Salthawks got plenty of protection from their offensive line, which allowed them to execute their trade mark flexbone offense to near perfection.

“There was a major difference in the aggressiveness out there,” Severino told The KC Star. “Their lines beat us to death up front.”
