Fayetteville Road Trip

The Jefferson City Jays Varsity Football Team will be making their first road trip of the season, as they make the 282 mile long trip to Fayetteville, AR this Friday (9/11/09) to take on the Bulldogs (Commonly referred to as the Purple Dogs or P'Dogs).

HighSchoolSports.net picks the Jays to come out victorious by a score of 35-29.

CBS College Sports is televising the game. It will be broadcast on DISH Network on channel 152 and on DirecTV on channel 613. As usual the game is at 7pm.

Coach LePage spoke with Stephen Spiewak, CBS MaxPreps.com National Football Editor, this morning.

There should be less confusion for fans listening via the radio. As Jay, Brad Allen, graduated last year, radio fans will only here about quarterback Allen on one side of the ball. Fayetteville's highly touted Brandon Allen returns as a Junior this year, once again running Fayetteville's offense. Allen, was Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Sophomore Offensive Player of the Year last season. Allen has received a scholarship offer from the Razorbacks.

Allen will be complimented by Fayetteville's top receivers, Josh Hale, a major college prospect, Dylan, his younger brother, Michael Heintzman, and Demetrius Dean. Dean has orally committed to Arkansas.

Overall
Expect the progression to continue for the Purple'Dogs and enjoy watching the on-the-field maturation of Allen, Dean, Hale and company. This group has the ability to score on any given play, and that confidence should fuel the defense as it tries to keep up.

The paper predicts the Purple Dogs to go 9-3 this season.
