Jays beat the Bruins

The Bruins came out looking impressive on their first drive, but it was short lived, as they would see happen repeatedly during the game, they could not execute the most important part of the drive, the score. The Jays dominated in that aspect, leading at half by a score of 27-0, and going on to win 41-14.

Thanks goes out to my friends at Rock Bridge. Sideline access with the opposition was a bit of a different perspective, but nice to get back on the field.

‘Shoulda, coulda, woulda’
Bruins waste early chances in loss to Jays.

Excerpts:

Despite outgaining the Jays by more than 100 yards with a season-high 536 yards of total offense, Rock Bridge squandered several first-half scoring chances in a frustrating 41-14 defeat.

“We did exactly what we wanted to do, and what we should have done,” Bruins quarterback Mark Pickerel said. “It’s just shoulda, coulda, woulda. We should have got in, but we didn’t get in the end zone.”

“One thing we stress on defense is if they have to snap the ball again, there’s a chance they’re going to make a mistake,” Jefferson City Coach Ted LePage said. “We wanted to be able to make them drive the ball down the field, and we were able to come up with the big plays when we needed them.”
