On a frigid, blustery night, the Jefferson City Jays held the Hickman Kewpies to a paltry 84 total yards as the Jays wrapped up the Class 6 District 6 title with a 28-9 victory.

“I thought defensively we played as well as we could possibly play,” Hickman Coach Jason Wright said. “You’re not going to hold Jefferson City’s prolific offense down for long.”
“Reece Roedel just makes plays,” Jefferson City Coach Ted LePage said of his senior who also collected his eighth interception with a diving effort in the third quarter. “He did a tremendous job of just picking the ball up and going.”
