Jays finish first @ Lee's Summit Invitational
The Jefferson City Jays edged Lee's Summit West by five points on Friday to win the title of the 10-team Lee's Summit Relays.
Jefferson City captured the crown, despite winning only one event. Zach Carey took first in the pole vault by clearing 14 feet.
Jefferson City snags title at Reeves Relays
Farmer won the 100- (14.8) and 300-meter (44.9) hurdles. The Lady Jays won two other events in the 22-team field and totaled 141.5 points.
Stephany Johnson of the Lady Jays was first in the triple jump (36-0), while Jefferson City's 4x400-meter relay team won in 4:06.0. Team members include Alicia Wilson, Torie Even, Johnson and Farmer.
Briana Watson of the Lady Jays set a freshman record by finishing the 1600-meter run in 5:19.9. She was fourth in the event.
