Springdale Bulldogs returning quarterback Ashton Glaser (6'2" 215 lb), who won the QB1 Challenge, has committed to play football at Missouri.
I doubt Glaser will be getting cheers from any that make the trip from Missouri on 9/5 as Springdale hosts the Jays.
Ashton's Rivals.com recruiting info.
MaxPreps has Springdale ranked 8th in Arkansas. Fayetteville, which the Jays host the following week are currently ranked 4th in Arkansas by MaxPreps.
A plus for the Jays is having a game under their belt as they head to Springdale. This will be Springdale's first game of the season.
From The Morning News: Local News for Northwest Arkansas, "Questions Surround Bulldog Receivers" and "Bulldogs Defense Looking Improved".
MaxPreps season outlook for the Bulldogs:
The Bulldogs should improve greatly on an uncharacteristic 4-6 season last year. All-state QB and Missouri commit Ashton Greer--who threw for 2,405 yards (22 TDs) and rushed for 728 with an additional 12 TDs as a JR--will lead a typically explosive Springdale offense. LaDarius Eckwood will step in for graduated all-state WR Michael Upton. The key to a successful season, however, will be improving a defense that gave up an average of 32 points-per-game.
