The Jefferson City Jays will host the Rock Bridge Bruins this Friday Night for their second game at the newly renovated Adkins Stadium. Hopefully the results will be better than the first.
Hopefully the Jays can make this three in a row for the Bruins (1-2-0) with losses to Hazelwood Central and McCluer North in their last two outings.

Darryn Hill - (Mary Minchew)
Nowhere to run Bruins’ offense goes backwards in ugly defeat.
Rock Bridge (1-2) ran 45 offensive plays against McCluer North (1-2) and gained a grand total of 55 yards. A reason for the paltry production was that 14 of those plays did not make it back to the line of scrimmage for losses totaling 97 yards. That means 31 percent of the Bruins’ plays — or about one in every three — went the opposite direction they were intended to go.

It’s certainly not going to get any easier for the Bruins. Rock Bridge travels to Jefferson City on Friday to meet the Jays, who lost the first game played in the newly renovated Adkins Stadium. The Jays fell 42-37 on Friday to the reigning 7A Arkansas champions from Fayetteville.
