Pep Rally for Band

The Jay Band would appreciate your show of support as they depart for their competition the morning after the football game against Rockbridge. The Band will depart from JCHS after a short morning practice and clean up of Adkins Stadium. Please let everyone know the Band needs their support. Thanks!




Calling all parents, siblings, friends, and football boosters to come be a part of the first pep rally for the Jay Band.

They are competing in the Farmington Marching Festival

Saturday, September 20 at 9:20 am (The morning after the football game with Rockbridge).

Freshmen Practice Schedule Exceptions

Coach sent home a note regarding practice this week. Hopefully your Freshmen players have passed it along.

Practice is normal Monday through Thursday. Below are the exceptions listed on the sheet:

Friday 3:30pm-5:30pm
Saturday 8:00am-10:00am
Sunday 5:30pm-7:00pm

NOTE:

It also mentions that Freshmen players should be at the Simonsen Locker Room at 5:30am on Monday (9/1/08). The bus leaves at 6am SHARP!

The game on Monday is against McCluer North in St. Louis at 10:00am.

A note was also sent home from the Freshmen Booster Rep regarding manning the concession stand.

(636-2051) Not only do season tickets let you enjoy Varsity football games, but they also get you into JV, Sophomore, Freshman, and 8th grade games too!!! What a deal!!!! Bus to Springdale

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

Deadlines are approaching to reserve our bus to see our boys!!!!! We can’t wait till the first of the season to commit! The price @ seat is presently at $50. If you calculate gas and wear and tear on your vehicle it’s not a bad deal and someone else gets to do the driving after 10PM!!!!

Be sure to mark your calendar for April 29th (serving 4:30to7pm) to not only buy a ticket from your son and eat, but come help with the dinner itself. It’s a great way to meet other parents and enjoy the Jay football atmosphere! We need your help! I’ve attached a schedule showing when parents are needed. Please email me back as soon as possible so you get the work slot that works best for you!! I know some of you have already signed up and we have the ticket table covered. We may need someone that will set at a table with the Schnuck’s fundraising cards, but your help is really needed. During the time slots you will be helping the players do those chores, not necessarily you doing them yourselves. Look forward to seeing you there!

Football Booster Donations when you buy at Schnucks

The Jay Football Boosters are now set up with a group ID (#500017439). Parents, relatives, and friends all can help the organization by going to Schnucks customer service desk and pick up an EScrip card and register using our group ID. Schnucks will donate 3% of the total grocery bill to the Football Booster account. This is a way for ANYONE to donate to the boosters without any expense or labor!!!

Be sure to mention that the card needs to be given to the Schnucks employee at the beginning of your order. Thanks!

The Jefferson City Jays Football Booster Club is sponsoring a PEP RALLY for the players and fans Thursday at 5:30-6:00 at the Adkins Stadium parking lot.  Coach LePage will speak, as well as former Jay players, the entire Jay band as well as the varsity cheerleaders.  Please make an effort to come support the Jays!!!

Important issue #1!!!!!

JAY FANS-HELP IS NEEDED!!
The missing parts to the bleachers have arrived and all instructions have been decoded.  (James Bond attended the last work session????? :-))  We have scheduled a final work session to complete the bleachers for Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the east end zone at Adkins Stadium.  We need to complete the assembly of these bleachers by the home opener against Springdale, Ark this Friday night.

TAILGATE PARTY

JEFFERSON CITY VS. SPRINGDALE ARKANSAS

FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2007

JAY Football Parents are hosting a Tailgate Party for the players and
coaches following the game on Friday, August 31, 2007.  We will serve pork steaks, hamburgers, baked beans, chips and drinks.  Parents have volunteered to donate the food.  We will set up and serve the boys on the Stadium parking lot, Northeast corner, as you exit the parking lot.  This area will be roped off.

Needed:  1 more cooler of Gatorade, 2 packs of cheese, cookies and/or brownies

DROP OFF:  You can drop your food off before the game at the location of the tailgate.

SET UP:  We will set up the tables and chairs immediately following the game while the boys are in the locker room.  Mr. Helming and any other volunteers will cook the burgers at this time too.  All help will be appreciated.

Note from Booster Rep - Bleachers

It’s been a long week already! Need to take out some frustration with metal and tools!!?? Tonight the Jay Football Boosters need volunteers to help assemble the new Jay Factor bleachers. Be a part of the renewed Jay Spirit!!! Even moms can help!! See below:

The bleachers for the Jay Factor seating in the end zone have arrived. The maintenance staff is already running in high gear with the start of school. The booster club has been asked to help assemble the bleachers. There is a scheduled work session for Thursday, August 23 beginning at 6:00 pm in the east end zone area for any booster member interested in helping put these together. We could probably use an air compressor or two, some air tools that will put bolts and nuts together as well as socket sets, wrenches and screw drivers.
