Teams won’t reveal much in jamborees.
For high school football fans wanting to catch a glimpse of Rock Bridge’s latest Division I quarterback prospect, there probably won’t be a whole lot to see tomorrow when the Bruins host Hickman and Jefferson City in a jamboree scrimmage that begins at 7 p.m.
According to Rock Bridge Coach A.J. Ofodile, Jake Morse’s primary duties tomorrow night will involve handing off on running plays rather than showcasing the strong throwing arm he brought with him from De Soto, Kan.
"I’m thinking out of 36 offensive snaps, we’ll throw the ball maybe four times," Ofodile said.

From Missouri State High School Athletic Association:
Approved by the membership in 1997, the preseason interscholastic football scrimmages have traditionally provided an exciting preview of high school football teams across Missouri before the season officially gets underway on August 30. Sometimes called "jamborees," the scrimmages must include three or four schools, include a maximum number of offensive plays, and do not include kicking plays.
