Howell can't overcome problem with turnovers
Going in, the Francis Howell football team knew the odds were long.
"All week, we talked about going in and just laying it on the line,'' Howell coach Bryan Koch said. "Nobody expected us to win.''
The Vikings, who entered Friday's Class 6 sectional game at Jefferson City with a 3-7 record, managed to put some points on the board when Cameron Cathcart hauled in a 26-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Brett Graves with 5:33 left in the second quarter.
But that was the lone Vikings highlight. Taking advantage of turnovers, the Jays rolled to a 46-7 victory.
