Adkins Stadium 08-08-2008

Looking Good.

The sideline turf was put down, although it looks as though it still needs some work.

Steps were poured today.

Those running into the end zone might keep an eye out if running in the left corners...

as the play clocks look pretty close for those that might be carried on out of the end zone by their momentum. It looks to be about the same depth as the goal post, but I am not sure if there will be padding for them or not.

You might have wondered what the big white bags were lining the road.

They hold the small shredded black rubber that I believe gets mixed with sand and thrown on top of the turf. It is the stuff you see bouncing up in the air as the ball and players hit the ground. It also gets in shoes, clothes, hair, etc.

Not sure if this will be where the players enter the stadium similar to the old configuration or if something else is being done here.
